Welcome to The Bear Inn!

Please help us to make your visit safe by following our simple rules:

  • Please use hand sanitiser on entering the pub and throughout your visit.

  • When you come in please be aware of anybody leaving and stand aside to allow them to pass.

  • Adhere to guidance on the size of gatherings:
Indoors = up to 2 households sat together following social distancing.
Outdoors = up to 6 people from different households together following social distancing.

  • Indoors is seated only (no standing at the bar) and is table service only – please take a seat and we will come to you to take your order.

  • If all the tables are taken inside then please speak to a member of staff & we will advise you if there will be a table free shortly and find you a place to wait.

  • In our garden we have plenty of seating and tables at which you can stand – we also have an outdoor bar where you can place orders and pay – or you can request table service if you prefer.

  • We have copies of our menus on the walls around the pub for you to look at, you can take a photo on your phone and return to your seat – if you require a hard copy we have them available and they are sanitised after each use.

  • Toilets:
Indoors – maximum of 2 people in the downstairs toilets at one time. The disabled toilet at the top of the stairs is priority use only – please respect this. There is limited space to queue for the toilets – we have marked 2 waiting spots in the corridor but if these are full please return to your seat while you wait – or try the toilets outside.
Outside – we are operating these on a 1 at a time basis – please adhere to social distancing while you queue.

  • For both sets of toilets please use the wall mounted hand sanitiser on entering and leaving & follow the signed guidance on hand washing.

  • Cleaning – we have a cleaning schedule of all high touch areas including in the toilets every hour – please respect our staff and allow them space to carry this out.

  • Track & Trace – please help this national effort by leaving your details with us when you visit
